The 24th CEO Meeting of the Asian Trade Promotion Forum (ATPF) was held on April 13th and 14th in Taipei, with heads or represents of trade promotion organizations (TPOs) from 15 TPOs attending.
This year's meeting was hosted and chaired by Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC), under the theme "Towards a New Era of Asian Economic Integration." A total of 15 TPOs and 2 observer organizations (from Department of Trade Promotion and Product Development (TPPD)Laos and Public Authority for Industry (PAI), State of Kuwait) attended the event.
The meeting featured a plenary session and two concurrent panel discussions under the themes, "Sharing Successful Strategirs of Service Industries" and "How Can Trade Organizations Assist Local Businesses in Developing the World Market?"
At the meeing, TPPD Laos was accepted as the 23rd ATPF members.

Capacity Building Initiative Program 2010 was held in Bankok
hosted by DEP from November 23 to 25. With the forum theme "Creative
Industries as a tool of growth", discussion and conference were
successfully conducted and ATPF members from 15 ATPF Member
Organizations and other related people joined in this forum.

of ATPF CBIP 2010 in Bangkok
The 23rd Annual CEO Meeting of the Asian Trade Promotion Forum
(ATPF) was held this May 13th and 14th in Seoul, South Korea, with
heads of trade promotion organizations (TPOs) from across Asia
attending.
This year's meeting was hosted and chaired by Korea Trade-Investment
Promotion Agency (KOTRA), under the theme "One Asia, and the Future of
a New Era." A total of 19 TPOs and five observer organizations (from
Cambodia, Dubai, Iran, Kazakhstan and Kuwait) were represented at the
event.
The meeting featured a plenary session and two concurrent panel
discussions under the themes, "Rising Asian Green Industry and
Cooperation" and "TPO's New Role in the Rising Asian Era." The
discussions confirmed the importance of facilitating trade promotion
based on the recognition that Asia is playing a key role in the global
economy.
In conjunction with the ATPF CEO meeting, KOTRA organized the "4th ATPF
Joint Exhibition" within the "Seoul Food & Hotel 2010" (May
12th to 15th), to give member TPOs an opportunity to showcase food
items from their economy; Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and
Australia were among the participating economies.
The 66th Tokyo International Gift Show 2008 Autumin has held
from 2-5 September, 2008. Nearly 200,000 visitors came to the show
during the four days. ATPF Zone was organized by 15 ATPF member
economies with 103 companies.(8, September, 2008)
The 13th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF)
was held at The Cotai Strip Convention and Exhibition Center at the
Venetian Macao from 23rd to 26th of October 2008, which was organized
by IPIM and other related organizations. MIF is the largest trade and
economic event held annually in Macao.
?MIF served as your platform to network with international companies
and businesspeople and was a hub for trade and investment promotion,
publicity of your products and services, and establishment of business

ATPF participates in the Tokyo International Gift Show (TIGS)
2008 autumn edition which was held on 2-3 September, 2008. Tokyo
International Gift Show is one of the largest exhibitions in Asia on
all gift items. It prides the highly qualified items for buyers from
all over the world. ATPF has 'the ATPF Zone' at East Hall 2&3
with 15 TPOs and 104 companies.
Asia has variety of culture, tradition and climate, which leads us the
concept of the ATPF Zone, �gTouching Upon the Great Diversity of
Asia�h. ATPF Zone introduced a plenty of promising items such as cloth
or leather handicraft, useful kitchen items, articles of clothing,
interior accessories, antiques like vases or tea utensils and so on.
Many items was introduced in Japan for the first time. (5, April, 2008)

The 21st Annual Meeting, with the theme on �gTPO Challenges: Serving the Business Community Professionally and Effectively�h, was held in Hanoi, Vietnam on 3-4 April 2008. 57 delegates from 17 Trade Promotion Organizations (TPOs) attended the forum. (5, April, 2008)
18 Participants from 14 TPOs visited "Ota City Industrial Promotion Organization" and a small-medium sized company, as Ota City is highly paid attention from both inside and outside Japan as a high-tech area with many SMEs. The participants understood much about Ota city from the lecture and the factory tour, and actively joined the question-and-answer session. (25, January, 2008)
ATPF had the 16th ATPF WLM at JETRO headquarters office in Tokyo, Japan. 32 delegates from 18 ATPF member economies attended the meeting. Participants exchanged information about the ATPF joint activities such as the Capacity Building Initiative Programs and the next Annual Meeting. They also positively discussed how to prepare for the next ATPF Joint Exhibition and suggested ideas of how to activate the communication through the new website. (23, January, 2008)
16th Asian Trade Promotion Forum (ATPF) Working Level Meeting was held on 22nd to 24th January 2008. 16th ATPF Working Level Meeting intended to prepare for the 21st ATPF annual meeting, and the topics of the annual meeting. Moreover, ATPF Joint Exhibition and Capacity Building Initiative Program discussed at the meeting.(14, December, 2007)
JETRO held the Capacity Building Initiative Program (CBIP) for ATPF member officers in Tokyo on November 28th 2007. CBIP implemented to help ATPF member TPOs, to develop human resources. Participants visited factories of representative companies of food industry in Japan, and studied ideas and approaches that are necessary for accessing the Japanese market through the lecture and factory tour.(29, November, 2007)
Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) hosted the 2007 Capacity Building Initiative Program (CBIP) from October 1 to 3 in Taipei . The theme was Effective Trade Promotion Strategies, and 25 participants attended the program.(9, October, 2007)
